new restaurant in Unicoi...
Although Rome is 4,833 miles away, a taste of Italy is coming to the town of Unicoi.
Melony J. Poppo of Buladean, N.C., will be opening up “Melony’s Candlelite Café,” a restaurant serving Italian cuisine, on the tentative date of July 1.
“I think it’s going to be a great location,” said Poppo, a native of New York’s Catskill Mountains who moved to North Carolina 10 years ago.
