I live in Piney Flats about 1 mile behind Tri-Cities Airport. I have no gripes. we are not inside Kingsport or Johnson City lines so we don't get double taxed. The area is growing however we sill have lots of pretty farmland. If you are new to TN we don't have an income tax but we do have a 9.5% sales tax, but we are close enough to VA to shop there for 5%

What part of Piney Flats? I lived on Main St. and it has now been added to the National Register of Historical Places. I enjoyed living there.

If you live in Kingsport you pay Kingsport city and Sullivan County tax same goes for Johnson City and Washington county.

I live right where Muddy creek road and DeVault bridge road split.
