Default Bulk water delivery for swimming pools?

I'm starting to research to see if there is a company that deliverys water to fill a swimming pool?

Where I use to live, the local fire depts would for a small fee. Living in the older area of JC, the water pressure isn't very good and would take me a LONG time to fill the pool.

Thanks so much.

I guess it's just not asked that much. The only reason I asked, is our water pressure is not very good.

Wish I could help. When I was young at home we had a pool, but always filled it from the hose. I know of no services, but I guess you could call the local fire departments and ask yourself.

Is your pool inground? Is it vinyl lined?

Filling a vinyl lined pool with the fire company is NOT recommended. It will ruin the liner, the water pressure is too high.

I have a 20 x 40 inground, vinyl lined pool that holds appx. 30,000 gals. I also have a well pump and horrible water pressure. I do have another well at the barn with the same water pressure, but I was able to fill my pool using a hose from each pump. It took six solid days of running water, but we got it filled. It's a chore, but hopefully we won't be draining it again anytime soon (had the liner replaced, thats why we had to fill it up again).

Have you asked the water department about this? On some systems the water department will place a special meter on a nearby fire hydrant for filling a pool. Problem is- most folks don't have a hydrant really close. The volunteer department I used to work with had some old inch and a half fire hose they loaned out to folks doing this. Check for nearby hydrants and check with your water provider.
