Default Blountville: Wings of Freedom tour Nov. 2-4 @ the airport

Let’s look to the sky as Veterans Day nears. To give thanks? Sure. To remember those who served? Absolutely.

Then come early Monday afternoon, be on the lookout for a trio of World War II warbirds as they fly en route to Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Blountville, Tenn.

Wings of Freedom | TriCities

As part of its nationwide "Wings of Freedom" tour, the Collings Foundation will bring in a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator and the P-51 Mustang for display at Tri-City Aviation from November 2 through November 4. The B-17 is one of only nine such aircraft in flying condition in the United States. The B-24J and P-51C Mustang are the sole remaining examples of their type flying in the world.

Default I agree....

My hubby loves planes too, and he had to come home early for some other things on Monday so he took DS out at 4pm, but they couldn't get in because the planes were about to take off. :-(

That sounds like a really great tour, but it would be nice if it was over a weekend or at least open a little later (of course now, it is getting dark by 6pm.) :-(
