We moved here and have been here for 9 months now. What an awesome decision. The people are friendly and kind and caring. The area is growing at a healthy rate and the property values are steady, but getting ready to BOOM. Expect the property values to double over the next 7 years.... This is one of the only areas within 25 miles to downtown Knoxville that has not seen BIG growth yet. It is coming and will come quick. This is God's country. Low taxes, beautiful countryside and mild weather....

Easy winters and nice summers.... Right on Norris Lake, which is by far the nicest lake in E. Tennessee.

This would be a very smart investment.... and LOW LOW crime

Maynardville is small but growing. Big Ridge state park and Norris lake are both right around the corner. If you like mountain views you can usually find a tract that won't break your spirits.
www.viewandvisits.com (broken link) This is a website of Knoxville and the greater area. I don't know how much info there is on Maynardville but it might help.
Have you checked with the Chamber of Commerce?

Maynardville is about 30 minutes up hwy 33 from the Ft. City area of Knoxville, and is very rural, and a great place to find lots of privacy. It has the famous state park Big Ridge, and several boat docks around the best lake in the area, with Norris.
