Which restaurants in downtown Knoxville do you like the best? I have
seen advertisements for a lot of restaurants downtown, but I'm not
sure which ones to visit.

Cafe 4 is our favorite, hands down. Great calamari, and a really good fried pork tenderloin...
Actually our very first meal here in Knoxville when we came for the fiance's interview was at Oodles Uncorked in Market Square.. very good food there as well.

I love Regas for the old school ambiance and service with excellent food. I have not tried Chesapeake's yet but really want to. S&W Grand is a recent restoration. Has anyone been yet? Café 4's menu looks great, people love, love Tomato Head and the French Market Creperie. I once read a review from a native of France that has since gone home and is disappointed because she can get a better crepe in Knoxville! True!

I once complained that there were not enough mom and pop restaurants when I first moved here five years ago. Alas, I haven't been to all of them. The renaissance just keeps on and I can't keep up.

It's easier to list the downtown restaurants with bad reviews, and offhand I don't know of any. I've had good meals everywhere downtown. Dazzo's is the best for pizza. Besides this forum, check google maps and urban spoon for reviews.
