Default moving to knox

I am moving to Knox in a few weeks and one of the first things on my to do list will be finding a new church. The one I attend now is non denominational. It also has a great singles group. Where can I find this in Knox? Thanks

Interesting...

Quote:
the number of Advanced Placement, Intl. Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests taken by all students at a school in 2006 divided by the number of graduating seniors. All of the schools on the list have an index of at least 1.000; they are in the top 5 percent of public schools measured this way.

Seems pretty silly to me. School is pretty much what you put into it. Rankings are very rarely based on anything of substance.

As for crime, we moved here from the KC area where there seems to be a story about a murder on the news each and every morning and night...and I don't recall hearing about a murder on Knoxville news yet.

I consider KC a very safe place to live...and that's with all the murders. I find Knoxville very safe, but am a little bit in awe of how many people have security systems...they are very prevalent.

I think Knoxville area averages one murder only every week or so. Violent crime here is about 500% higher than the national average though. It's like Detroit all spread out over a larger area.

It seems like murder is up in Knoxville this year. That is not scientific. It just seems like I hear about it more. I think outside gangs moving in are the culprits.

You don't get the random acts of violence here you see in larger cities. With the exception of the young couple that was murdered, most people who are murdered are killed by people who knew them. Usually it's an argument that escalates or problems that have been brewing for some time.
