Default Where is the best fit for me?

I've been researching different cities for a move in about a year and a half. I will be done with my Masters in counseling and am looking for a place no more than 5 hours or so from Augusta, Ga so I can be near family. I have a 10 month old daughter, but am willing to go the private school route if need be. I'm looking right now at Asheville, NC, Knoxville or Chattanooga, TN, or Richmond, VA. I would love a place that is not too big, but yet doesnt shut down at sundown. I'm really into hiking and can't stand this insane Georgia heat. All of these towns have their pros and cons and I've been on this forum looking at everything said.
