Default Hello Knoxville

I don't know if anyone remembers me on this forum but it's been a few months since my Knoxville visit. I was at the Yankee picnic in a park in Farragut. Anyway, is there any recent news down there? Is everything ok for JMT, Hiknapster, and the rest of the Knoxville crew? I am employed up here right now and finding a job was a huge problem. So while still in NJ, Knoxville is still on my mind at times... Every once in a while I look at the pictures I took while at the zoo there and remember how different it was there than here and wonder about making the move. The hardest part seems to be not knowing anyone and being employed. Well I traded up for a new car recently which cleaned out my savings account but a move in the future is never out of the question. Gotta save save save...

Hope everyones getting along down there.

-J

Hello Jza!

How incredibly kind and thoughtful to check in! I'm doing great. My husband got TWO more raises since you've been on. He now makes an extra $90 take home per week! Can you believe it?

I'm still working at the same place. It's still a lot of fun!

We are waiting to buy a house, just watching the market right now.

I'm glad you got a new car! That's great! Wait it out. The time will come for you!

2 raises, they must really like him. I'm sure you'll keep everyone posted on what area you bought your house in. Yeah the new car... I actually had 2 new vehicles in the span of 1 week. The first one was a complete lemon and I argued my way to a replacement. Good old NJ, where you can get a brand new lemon. They slapped that window sticker right on the defective vehicle too. Ok enough about Jersey City's crook dealerships.

Let me get this straight, your job is fun? I couldn't imagine having a job you enjoy going to each day. I work with a guy who's like an artist/welder and we work very well together and can get a ton of work done and still have a good time. Too bad everyone doesn't mesh like that and you have to work with a bafoon or 2, ya know? That's great to hear. I gather you're in the public service sector from past conversations and a happy employee is going to be more pleasant to speak to no doubt.

I recently had to call for service to covista for my phone and I correctly identified the lady Tanya's accent correctly in my first try. She was in Chattanooga, TN. She was real friendly and I recognized the accent from my visit to Knoxville. Lame story yes, but I was proud I guessed right heh.

I've read you're not too happy with Knoxville's air quality. I was only there a few days so I can't debate it, but when I was there in March the air and weather were like perfect. Air seems cleaner than where I live even with all those big diesel trucks flying through I-40. Keep in mind I live in Jersey City which isn't too bad, but neighboring areas like parts of Newark, Elizabeth, and southern areas of Kerny smell like a big humpback whale fell from the sky and lay there to rot in the summer sun.

I'm not ruling out another visit when I can afford it either. Take it easy Napster.

March air quality would be fine. It's only during the summer months, as far as I know.
