For Residential, 7 cents per Kilowatt hour. That's from my bill.
KUB (Knoxville Utility Board) is the local part of TVA. They supply electric, water and gas.

Hi knoxgarden,
Thanks for the info. In NY it's 15.2 cents per KwHr. Big difference.

Moderator cut: snipped
The rates have gone up and down quite a bit since the last posting.
I have my current bill in front of me, and the KUB site pulled up.
It is now 8.210 cents per Kilowatt Hour.
It is also cheaper for water and sewer if you are inside the city. Didn't know that until I just read about it.

Hmmm...Interesting Knoxgarden is being charged $0.07 per KWH and Hik is being charged
$0.8210 per KWH. Your both in Knoxville and with K.U.B. right? Wonder why the difference? Can they charge different areas of the city at different rates maybe?

Electricity is much cheaper down here than in New England. It should remain that way unless cap and trade gets passed. Then kiss those low rates goodbye.

Look at the date on the posts. My original post was in August of 2007. There was a rate hike since then. I just checked my current bill and it is now 8.2 cents an hour. Still cheap.
