Yeah. And you need northeastern water for that, so no matter what, it isn't happening. But I'll gladly give up the bagels for what I get in return but I know that you feel the same way.

EVDO 3G is also widely used for air cards - those USB devices that plug into computers and give them an Internet connection. I do not know if the Home Fusion device is LTE only, or if it can fall back to EVDO 3G or 1xRTT.

The "slower tier" they mention? Yeah. It's well named.

You're lucky if any web page will even load before the server decides you gave up and went away. Timeouts everywhere for the next week or three. Have fun with that. Satlinks are garbage.

Does anyone know about the service out in Seymour, TN? The place where I will be moving to is not wired for cable or DSL (its a bit remote), so I will need to get wireless internet. I currently use Verizon for my phone and had thought of either purchasing a mobile hotspot or tethering off my phone.

UPDATE: Starting today (May 3rd) the Verizon Home Fusion Broadband service will be available nationwide. Full Press Release here

Enter your address on the Verizon Coverage Map to see if it reaches to your residence.

I am sure you have probably already done this but be sure and check to make sure you can't get AT&T U-Verse I know quite a bit of areas in Seymour have it available now. Some areas that may have never had DSL before can get U-Verse now. You can check availability by using this link.

If I get a free internet signal - I don't question it...when I first moved in I had free cable for about three years..till some guy climbed a pole in the back and shut if off...If all electronic entertainments cease to exist..so be it...Communication or freedom of speech should be free...just because our speech is rapidly becoming more and more digitized...eventually someone is going to send you a bill for sending a vibration through the air by simply speaking..Good luck to all who need the net...myself....It might be interesting to get back to basics and do without this thing..that was supposed to save us time but now takes it.
