My husband's work is in dire need of mechanics. He is also looking for oil and tire changers. Anyone willing to learn, and show up for work and on time, would be great.

The pay is not great. It was less than Florida, when we first moved here. Jobs usually go to the locals, but you can check it out in six months, when you do decide to move.

Does your husband usually work for dealerships? If that is the case, he can contact them directly and see what they say.

The very best of luck to you and stay in touch!

Great mechanics will get jobs here, they just have to prove themselves.

Sweet. My husband is a real mechanic, too. No lines, feeds, or warranty work, thank you.

He sounds great.

But your husband is working for a huge fleet.

I have no idea what he will make here. My husband works for a small shop. They own one other. They have been in business for a long time. Perhaps right after the Model-T.

He is shop foreman and brings home probably much less than your husband is use to. Most of Knoxville will pay way less than that. You have to pay your dues, and it is very tough.

You are not going roll in it in Tennessee, or a least Knoxville, but we like the way of life here , so far.

I dont have to roll in it i just want keep rolling if you know what i mean.well we are simple we like to have fun go to a few nascar events do some raceing of our own and just chill. life here is $$$$$$$$ . so is your shop a busy one?l your not a chain ?right .the fleet is not real big most of the work is spread between 3 shops or 4 guys . but they stay busy and they get paid hourly .but he has worked on all kinds of pay scales book or piece .he started out as a tire changer a long long time ago it hard when you paid some many dues so many times but he has a great history.and people to say so he has never had a hard time finding a job . we just want to make sure we pick the right area to live.
