Oh, I love Urban Outfitters too. Wow, if either of those stores moved in downtown, I think my entire paycheck would be GONE!

Is it true that there is going to be a costco going in the site of the new shopping center at the old powell airstrip off I-75, exit 112?

Not sure. All I have seen are "For Lease" signs.

While it isn't the same, you can order from Costco.com and have items shipped to you. When we moved here from San Antonio and had time left on our membership we used Costco this way. And yes, I miss Jack in the Box also; especially their breakfast sandwiches. Living here is worth doing without though!

That would certainly make sense. I know when Costco first came to Memphis while I was living there they said that Costco rarely enters a large market with only one store. When they came to Memphis they built two stores simultaneously. So I wouldn't be surprised if Costco were to open two stores in Knoxville if they come here, and the area you mentioned would be a great location for Costco in the booming North Knox County/I-75 corridor. It's not too far from me, after all, and I love Costco!
Oh, and to those of you who said you miss Jack in the Box: me too! I have no idea why they're not here. They're all over Middle Tennessee. I think the closest to Knoxville is in Cookeville.

Hik, its off Papermill. You can see it from the interstate. Supposed to be hotel, retail, and commercial all in one. And sorry, no Jack in the Box, please. My girlfriend keeps complaining that we need an Anthropologie.

Looks very neat. Was this the "new downtown" project? Or was that something in Farragut? I've not heard mention of it in a long while...
