There is the Sentinel Tower downtown and two town centers, one in Farragut and one in Bearden. Farragut one hasn't begun, this one is already underway.

Okay, I think the one I was thinking of was in Farragut. Someone posted pix once. It was supposed to be "the new downtown!" for the city of Farragut. I was thinking, right, don't think you're gonna steal Turkey Creek's thunder.
(Before I get JMT riled up, I know, I know, Turkey Creek is in Knoxville, not Farragut. )

Hey all.. ran across this thread while looking for some Costco info in TN... Does Costco sell wine at its TN locations?
The reason I ask is I heard Costco is going across the border from Chattanooga in Ringgold GA... because they can sell wine in GA.
I know that the TN grocery store merchant type association tried to get the law changed to allow wine to be sold in grocery stores but it didn't pass.
edit- lordy, my first post sounding like a troll by asking a question which I think I already know the answer to... I don't have a dog in the hunt other than Im tired of driving from Chattanooga to Costco on Barrett Pkwy in ATL once a month and if Costco could sell wine in store we would have a lot more Costcos across the state.

Costco??
I'm sorry, but I'm new and I missed the final word. I tried to read as many posts as I could but I didn't really see anything. Is Costco coming or not? I really miss it and would love to have one here. Was it just a vicious rumor?
By the way, I suppose baby Jesus doesn't mind beer being sold at grocery stores???

It was just a joke...a poke at fundamentalists. No need for anyone to get their feathers ruffled. Yes Costco is coming to Lovell Rd. area. Not sure about the time line, but I wouldn't expect to be up and running until spring/summer '09.
BTW: It was the liquor stores that paid off the politicians on the wine vote. It had nothing to do with any religious group, as far as I know.

Believe me, my feathers aren't ruffled. I just didn't get it. Thought you were being serious. I don't understand the whole thing about having to go to all these different stores to buy different types of alcohol. Seems a little ridiculous to me. Why you can't just buy them all at one place, its crazy. Doesn't wine have about the same alcohol content as beer, malt liquor and those pre-mixed seagrems (spelling?) things?

You left out also the "make it at home" option as well. Costco would do well here in our area; I am guessing it is a matter of time.
