What do you mean? There isn't a Costco in Chatt.
I thought I was clear but I guess I was not clear enough for you.... I did not state there is a Costco in Chattanooga. Duh.

I stated that I heard they are going to build just OVER the border FROM Chattanooga because of the FACT that they can not sell WINE in TN and they CAN in GA. Why would they build in Chattanooga without wine when they could build 2 miles down the road and sell wine.

If you read the same thing I did, it was hearsay and never confirmed. Nothing else has been in print, that I know. It took a life of its own, but I don't see it happening, yet.

I looked at a house that was owned by Costco, Llc. The neighbors said it was for the construction manager, or something like that. Anyway, that was sold at auction this past June. They may have considered it, but I don't think they went through with it.

Costco situation, from all reputable rumors I hear in the commercial world, is tentative at best. They are interested in acquiring the old Beltz outlet building on Lovell across from Cotton Eyed Joes. They, like many other corps, are tending to slow down new acquisitions however due to slow economy and purchase power of customers. Also, they are in a stalemate, pondering the existence of a Sam's, two super Walmarts, and now two Best Buys within 10 miles of their proposed location. The deal is not dead by any means, and will probably be conducted if their high number of stores per capita make sense, and the buying power of the public returns to a level state. There are also some out parcels from the property they initially hoped to obtain, and no word on those yet. Obviously, they are closed lips, and are only focused on 08 projects in works. Here's the only new stores they've released.

Costco Locations
