Hello everyone,

I'm searching for a nice house, condo, or apartment to rent in the Farragut, West Knoxville, Downtown Knoxville, or Oak Ridge area.
Aany ideas where I might look?

Many thanks!

Sincerely,
Maddie Claire

You have thrown out a pretty broad area. It would be much easier to narrow it down for you if we knew a few things...
1. your budget
2. where you are going to work
3. desires to be near.........shopping, hospitals, schools, etc.

Many real estate offices have rental divisions. You may want to connect with one, and drive around the area to see what fits your needs.

Hi,
My husband and I are also looking to move to the Knoxville area from Wisconsin... We are looking to rent for a year and then buy or build a home. Things to consider is that we have a 2 year old so a family friendly area with good or private schools, somewhere with in a 30 min or less drive to the airport, something in the range of 500-750/ month with 2 bedrooms or more(we are trying to keep the cost down so we can purchase a house). We have been doing some research and have been leaning toward the Oak Ridge, Farragut, Maryville, South West Knoxville, maybe as far as Seymour areas, but would like some "local" views on the areas and what you like/dislike about them, places with activities, good restaurants, shopping, good gyms (with child care), areas close by for hiking etc.. P.s We are in our early 30's and are each self employed if that helps at all.
Thanks-Mandy

Barking Spider -
I will be working in Oak Ridge at the National Labs...
Budget is completely open -
Being close to shopping is a must - I love walking and plan to be doing a lot of it

We have no children or pets, so we can live anywhere without worry about schools, etc..
Knoxville looks like a nice area, and I've read many compliments regarding Farragut and West Knoxville.

With being close to shopping a must I have to say West Knox with Farragut a very close second. But you really need to come visit before you move, if possible, to see what floats your boat.

I guess we'll start in Farragut and West Knoxville.

I vote for West Knoxville. I live here and it's great. It's the best area of Knoxville and in the overall metro.
