And when Spring rolls around, don't forget Lady Vols softball! They've gone to the College World Series the last three years. They made it to the final game of the college world series this year, but lost.
They'll have a brand new stadium. A lot of away games are on ESPN/ESPN2.

Yeah, team!!
We are going to be in sports utopia!!
Gotta see the Lady Vols basketball team. Sure love the UConn ladies. Might have to switch allegiance here. (If I don't want to have beer dumped down my back like poor SmokyMtnGal!) Very funny, SMG, by the way.

Mbmouse, watching hockey at the rink is very different than watching it on TV. If you get the chance, try an Ice Bears game. Very exciting! (But, I really hate the trumped-up fights and dirty playing. Leave that with the NHL.)

I was born and raised in CT, yea I do know hockey hahaahha even been to a few games, just still don't care for it. I am not a huge sports fan, but I do like going to a local high school basketball or football game. DH is supposed to be getting some tickets this year for the UT football game and I will go and I am sure have a good time, but once in a while is good for me. Same with Nascar. I am 20 minutes drive from the Bristol track, been there done that, I'm good, don't need to go again

I love the UConn women, too. One of the players was a legend in my hometown.
But once you see the Lady Vols you will never go back. I promise you.

I am really looking forward to to watching the Lady Vols in action courtside! It will be pretty exciting for me, especially.
Hubby cannot wait to get to Bristol for the Nascar, but Grand Prix is his real love. He said he will miss Road Atlanta. But, that can become our new vaca spot.
I'm with you, mbmouse, on the high school games. Some of my best memories are of my 4 boys high school football and basketball games. Such fun. Oh, how good that hot chocolate would be the end of October watching football in 30 degree weather! Won't miss that part.
