Knoxville Ice Bears
We are season ticket holders to the Knoxville Ice Bears. Anyone else on here go to the games routinely?

Mbmouse, you must know the Knoxville Ice Bears pro hockey team!! Slamming pucks on the ice! Great sport - kind of like football on ice, but it hurts more.

Knoxville Tennessee things to do in Knoxville Live Sporting Events things to do wild wings cafe knoxville hotels motels Nashville Predators TN NHL tickets
Really good minor league hockey and even better people watching . They won the President's Cup year before last. We had season tickets to the Pittsburgh Penguins for 11 years and while this isn't the NHL, it's good hockey. They play home games at the aging Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
There seems to be a high number of transplanted yankees at these games; hockey is slowly integrating into the southern culture

Basketball is great, hiknapster. Might be a problem though if UT comes up against U of MI in a playoff! EVERYBODY likes you!
Mbmouse, watching hockey at the rink is very different than watching it on TV. If you get the chance, try an Ice Bears game. Very exciting! (But, I really hate the trumped-up fights and dirty playing. Leave that with the NHL.)

I was just talking to someone involved with college basketball today; we love our basketball in Knoxville!
Live hockey is awesome. The fighting is so much less in the NHL than it was; the minor leagues are much scrappier.
If the lady that sits behind me keeps spilling beers on me this year though the best fight might be in the stands! J/K
