I just want to tell everyone that I went to Earth Fare and absolutely loved it. I had a roast beef, brie and bacon sandwich with horseradish mayo. Yum!
We spent over two hours there. I didn't spend anymore money there then I normally do, but I do spend a lot on groceries.
Last night, I made a wonderful beef stew that was totally organic. It was fabulous!
I even found vitamins for my fibro.
We're going back next week.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and you got my favorite sandwich!! Even though I'm half-French, I don't really care for brie cheese. But on that sandwich it is divine!
I think we need to start a petition to have Earth Fare open a store over on our part of town.

I love that sandwich, too, though I have them hold the mayo... and I swear their brie is creamier! Isn't it a great store? I always feel so virtuous when I eat healthy. But my grocery bill is a lot higher when I shop there, so you really must spend a lot on groceries, hiknapster!
I'm a big fan of organics. You feel so much better knowing what's going in your body. I'm glad you had such a fun excursion!

Did anyone mention Nature's Pantry on Bearden Hill? Lot's of health food, vitamins, etc.
P.S. I think the 3 rivers co-op has a pretty good produce section. Pricey, but I've noticed their lettuce lasts a lot longer than from the fruit stand.

I used Splenda in error the other day (half asleep) and decided to go ahead and drink it. I was so sick on Wednesday that it took 8 Motrin to walk out of work, and I was still in pain.
I don't know if it's being off the chemicals, the organics or the vitamins but I feel terrific. I could win a race, and for the past couple of years, it was tough to walk across a room.
I have never been an organics person, but I am now terrified to eat anything else.
EARTH FARE IN EAST KNOXVILLE!!!!
We can start a petition.
And yes, my grocery bill is enormous. We overbuy because we went without for so long.

Which vitamins did you choose? I don't buy vitamins there, but maybe I should. I'm starting to buy more and more food there, because it's so much better for you.
We really should petition for a Trader Joe's, because it has so much stuff so much cheaper!

Oh, wow, I didn't even know they were in the South. I know they're expanding slowly, so that's great! Are you in Raleigh? Or Charlotte?

I spend more at Earth Fare, but eat less overall because the food is so much more satisfying. So I feel it balances out. I also watch for specials and stock up on things like their brand of salad dressing, which is very good. They had some stone ground crackers on sale last week, 2 boxes for $4. Those are wonderful and actually cheaper than some saltines at Kroger. They have good specials on frozen foods, too.
