I bought a vitamin called Fibro-Response. I have a ton of vitamins already, since I've been trying everything to get rid of the pain. I actually had someone come up to me in the health department and help me.

I have to say that I found the employees and customers to be friendlier than at the Bearden Fresh Market, too.

I agree about the organic food filling you up. I'm finding the same thing. And the flavors just pop! I was also surprised that the meat was more tender than what I have bought in all other grocery stores. I thought they shot the beef up with stuff to make it more tender. I guess not.

I'm convinced that the Splenda is what caused all these problems. I also stopped all aspartame. At this point, I will avoid all chemicals, if I can.

Smile Eat better; feel great!

Hiknapster, what is in the Fibro-Response. You can PM me if you want. I eat no refined foods at all. Nothing with sulfates, nitrates, monogoobledeguk, etc. - nothing that isn't 100% food only.

I believe all of the chemicals including steroids, hormones and antibiotics that some ranchers and farmers give their livestock is used to increase the amount of actual meat per steer, chicken, what-have-you. Also, for a long time they were giving milk cows hormones to increase milk production. And, you know where all of those chemicals and hormones end up --- in the consumer.

Horrible news!

I went to Carither's Meat and Seafood, today. They went out of business!

So I guess Earth Fare is going to be the only place to get organic meat. I am so bummed.

That is bad news. I hate to see independent GOOD businesses go belly up.

When hubby and I were driving around Knoxville couple of weeks ago, I was sure that I saw 2 Earth Fare stores. Is it a small chain? The one was at Turkey Creek Mall if I remember correctly. Are there more Earth Fares?

I'm almost positive there is only one Earth Fare. I wish there were two, because Turkey Creek is pretty far away from us. We plan on going there tomorrow (I have a day off!) and make a day of it.

You might be thinking of Fresh Market. There are two of them in Knoxville.

You are so right. We did see two Fresh Markets. Thanks, hik.

I am anxious to leave some $$$ at all three.

Great story about local organic food and farms! I plan on going to that church to check out their farmers' market. I think Laurel Creek Farms brings its meat in on Fridays.

I am so bummed that they are closed. I was looking forward to shopping there.

I eat "healthy" tonight... I ate a tuna w/cottage cheese low carb wrap (low fat cottage cheese), low fat mashed potato and lemon water. Then I walked 30 minutes swiftly on the treadmill.
