Good Morning everyone--We arrived at our FL home safely, actually a very easy drive (little traffic for a Monday and very little road construction in GA). Thanks for your well wishes. We miss TN already but reality has set in. School starts Monday!
Pam & Bill--Enjoy that mountaintop. The dogs will readily adjust to outdoor living quickly. Who doesn't love nature at its best?
Mysticfire--Lysol works great for pets, too! Glad to hear everyone is one the mend.
Galli--Egads, does anyone actually use that bathroom--so beautiful, hate to touch!
TennSR--Wishing you a pleasant recovery from those tests.
And to all "A Wonderful Week'.

My daughter lives in Florida, she is married to a Doctor, if you think the bath is something you should see her nursery, it cost $25,000 just for furniture and drapes, its designed to look like a Carousel with even a round carousel crib. I guess its nice to be able to spend money like that I sure wouldnt know I do know why we pay Dr's so much, it's because we have to help them in their lifestyles

Morning all. Gailli found your post interesting. I work on the "million dollar babies" and it always amazes me what people spend on the homes and where they spend it. In one of our mdb's they put in a 170k china hutch, it doesn't look any different than going into a fine furniture store and buying one. Just that it was custom built in place, or the wood used on the stairs and then stain them to change the color. We had a fancy commercial kitchen put in one and the owner told me she didn't know how to cook and had all meals catered in, but she did use the microwave. NUTS

Yes I agree
Painter, I know exactly what you mean. My daughter wanted a comfortable chair in the nursery and her Interior Decorator told her she found one, she went to look at it and said it was the ugliest chair she had ever seen, not to mention uncomfortable(which isnt what you want when you sit and feed a baby) Her hubby told her its "Decor" and she told him she didnt want Decor she wanted comfortable. She told her (designer)never mind and went and found a recliner and her hubby had a fit, he couldnt believe she was putting a "$399" chair in their home This is the kind of stuff he buys, marble fireplace, 700 gallon marble fish tank, $12000 pool table, etc. Its for looking at but not really practical, he imports almost everything from other countries including his light posts outside, they came from a park in England. He also has a Bently, two Vipers, and some limited edition Ford sports car. Their house is over 12,00 sq ft and now they are going to build another addition as he doesnt think the new game room is big enough. The theater screen comes down in front of the fish tank on the game room side and the dark wood picture is his English Pub in the game room.
Guess Doctor bills will keep going up

Wow...I can't even imagine living in a house like that...I think I would feel more like I was living in a museum than a home!

Hi Everyone
I wanted to thank everyone for thinking about me regarding my test yesterday - made it through the anesthesia - kinda didn't want to wake up it made you feel so good. I do know I have a hiatal hernia and need more test on Thurs for gallbladder, pancreas, and liver. Thanks, everyone on the forum for wishing me well.
Gailli, hope your visit goes ok with the doctor.
Suzanne, so glad you made it back safe and sound - and your doggie is happy to be home in Florida.
Gemkeeper, Have fun and drive safe in your new car.
Pam and Bill, I have never spoke with you on the forum but, wished you both well in North Carolina.
Tn405, So glad too finally meet with you at the mtg I think we have a lot in common. Take care everyone.

Greetings! Yee Haw, computer access two days in a row!
Gem- Thanks for the lovin... I doubt Bones or JMT would mind it too much!
Tenn Sr.-thanks for the well wishes... all is well and I feel kinda like Thoreau when he wrote Walden..... So much nature and beauty to soak up around here. There is a resident turkey that comes and puts on a daily show. (In case you're wondering- it has feathers, is a real turkey, not a human! ) tons of Hummingbirds, butterflies and Bees. Hence the name "Bee Branch Mountain" Our friends have seen a bear for a couple of days straight in the driveway, when they come home from work. I hope to see it myself. From the safety of the car of course!
Painter-How are things in the RE market? Any good news offers yet?
Suzanne- glad you made it home safe. Don't you just miss tn. already? Once it is in your blood, I don't think it leaves.
I've had a few interesting mishaps since I arrived here.... the first night, a 10 foot tall Cactus fell on me. It scratched my hand, arm, back and side(welcome to NC!)
Yesterday, I sat down, a cat jumped in my lap and a bee stung the back of my leg... the poor cat went flying, I tried to jump up and couldn't.What a day! But we are all surviving, and doing well.
Hope everyone is doing great and I miss ya'll!
Pam

MysticFire, my sentiments exactly, it is just like a museum, I like a HOME if you know what I mean, sort of lived in
Having cataract surgery a week from Thurs, nothing to it just have to run around for a while looking like someone hit you, glad to get it over with. My oncologist checkup was good so thats a relief, still have to go every 3 mths though.
Pam, better watch all that wildlife, those bee's can be hurtful when you get stung but a bear can be a lot worse
Well, take care everyone, going to go watch the news
