gailli, that is some ole shack. lol. I went to check out a friends handy work on a brick courtyard, the brick work he was doing looked like flowers surrounding a fountain with koi in it. Pretty neat, anyway I went on a tour of the place and was saying that the house was a waste of money for 2 people and they had to be crazy to build a million dollar baby in that neighborhood when this guy walked up in torn jeans and work shirt. The guy stood and listened for awhile and then said yea I agree but I couldn't get my wife to move outside the city limits. OPEN wide and insert 2 feet!!!
Pam, Hope you settle in soon and that you and bill have a wonderful time on your mountain. I have not had a looker in 3 weeks on my big ole house. So it doesn't look like I will be in Tn any time soon. It sucks big time, I want out......

Hi All!!
Suzanne glad to see you made it ok! Terrific that GA traffic was light as I hear nothing but bad things about that trek through Atlanta. I'm sure Pam is right about you missing it already. I know when we had to leave it got harder each time.
Where on earth do you find all your bears and puppies fallfanatic? It is always interesting to see what you have posted!
Pam great that you have been connected! Sorry about the calamities. I did a real 'dance' when I got a wasp up the back of my shorts a couple of months ago (world's strangest strip dance, actually, as I tried to get off all my clothes) . It stung me several times. Not fun to be stung in such a sensitive area!!
Mysticfire hope all are getting better and no one else gets sick. "Wash hands, wash hands again, wipe with lysol, rinse and repeat".... my mantra for years of DS bringing stuff home from school every winter.
Ummm the excess houses... do people actually live in them and call them home?? Gailli your son-in-law sounds like he must be a specialist's specialist with that kind of income, or he doesn't save anything! Hope your daughter stays grounded... she sounds like it with the chair. Painter... I have met people like you described. They have to have 'the best' kitchen money can buy and the most they can do is start a coffee maker or microwave!!
Since I don't get to City Data all the time I have missed much but I did back track enough to figure out that Gem's hubby went and bought an ORANGE 'Vette????? Wow!! I'll warn my DH to stay off The Tail of the Dragon if he tests it out. LOL Wouldn't want us to be reporting the first inter-City Data collision!! DH has come back with some stories about that road!!
I am sorry to see that a long standing member who has contributed a lot is no longer posting. I miss her and I will leave it at that.
Edit: Painter I saw that you had posted after I had already posted. I had a good laugh at your foot in mouth story but do feel bad that you haven't sold yet. I'm sure it isn't much help to say I have been there, all too recently. I'm not sure which is worse the no showings or showings with no feedback or feedback that says the house was wonderful.... but nothing more. Good luck... someone will buy it sooner or later, I am sure. I'm also sure you wish it was sooner!!

Hi J&em it's this time warp we are in, lol. I do have a tendency to insert foot every once in awhile. I have two places for sale here in sunny b. Florida. AND I just got a call from a quy working on the yard at the little house, he drove his "big" tractor over the septic tank and crashed the lid in! Just what I need, spend more money and sell for less than value right...
How are you anyway, haven't seen you hear for awhile, I hope our attendence doesn't keep dwindling away.

Painter,
I know you probably know this as you seem wiser then I.....but when life seems to be made of nothing but lemons, don't just make lemon aid, get mileage out of those stories! And start popping M&M's! Works for me.
J&Em- I laughed at your wasps up the shorts story. Although it isn't any fun getting stung.
Gem- cool beans on the new wheels. I missed that post I think.
I hope everyone works things out, I like the dynamics of the Tn. forum with all the posters.

Oh great Cosmos Queen......
I beseech you to send a buyer to buy Painters house for a full price offer.
Your foot in mouth story sounds like something I'd do.....
Has anyone heard from GoodbyeHollywood in awhile?

Pam, Wiser? Don't know about that, ask my kids, lol. You know better than most that alot of our "wiseness" comes from life and some folks have to grow up early while other sit on their back sides, never grow up and watch life pass by. Some one once said to me yea been around that tree once or twice, well my tree as a permanent path and is well landscaped. As to the lemonade I like my with gin now! Well some times, lol. I truely wish you all the best in the days to come and never forget you have friends. My son got married a couple of days ago and I think the wisest thing said to him was HOLD TIGHT, when things go smooth there will be road bumps.

Road Bumps... hell try craters! LOL But that is what makes life interesting for us all.
I bet if you asked my kids if I was smart, they'd look at you like you have 2 heads and quickly correct you and tell you proudly that their mom has brain damage! (Can you tell what excuse I've used frequently???? Ha!

I dont get any sense of "brain damage", couldnt write the beautiful things you write if you did, maybe you should just call them "blonde" moments irregardless of what color the hair is
