Good day everyone!

Well, first I copy-catted off Hik and bought a house, lol...now I am following in her doggie adventures as well!

I had been snooping through CL just to see the cute animals--we had told the boys that once we got a house with a yard, we could get a dog. Well I was thinking more like in a few months...lol...but I say the cutest little guy on CL and the poster was saying that if they could not find a home they may take the puppy to the shelter, which broke my heart. So I called her about him and we go to look at him and prob pick him up on Thursday
here are a few pics of him...his name is Rex and he is a lab/beagle mix she says.

Default DH's Results

Hi everyone, well news on hubby wasnt so bad. He has got Coronary Artery Disease but the couple of blockages he has are only 30% and a couple 10%. Dr said low fat diet, 45 minutes of walking every day and Plavix for now. He doesnt have to go back to see the Heart Dr for six months. News could have been worse so we are pleased.

KSurvivor, much luck on the interview!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, it sure was hot today but mornings have been great

Gailli, what great news from the doctor. Isn't it wonderful that today's meds can add years to an enjoyable and sustainable life! We were praying that you would get good news like that.

Ksurvivor--wishing you well at the interview!

Mysticfire--Kudos to you and family for adopting that precious little puppy. Just look at those eyes! How could anyone turn away? He can bring years of enjoyment to your boys and added responsibility.

Gailli! Thanks for checking in. I was thinking about you and your husband today.

KSurvivor, you are in my thoughts, too.

Mystic! A puppy? I cheated. My dog is already trained. Whoever owned him took very good care.

We'll see how trained ourw ends up being, she says that he is trained and whines at the door to go out--we'll see about that, but I am not holding my breath--he's awfully young, lol...

I don't think you cheated, you were just wiser than I!

I am glad I could take him in...It broke my heart to think he may go to a shelter.

The shelter is packed full of people that are adopting.

We went on a Friday night and it was packed. We tried to get a German Shepherd, but we said we were undecided and someone else stepped in.

Then we went on Labor Day and it was really crowded, again. When we saw Harvey we had to stand by his door so that no one would cut in front of us and get him.

It was amazing.
