Gem- Sounds like DH and yourself never have a dull moment in life either!
Well at 1:30 this morning we crawled into bed exhausted and we were just wallowing around in our comfy bed, so happy to have it back. I think I had just blissfully said for the fifth time, I missed our bed... when it collapsed! LOL Another project for today.

Fall Fanatic- You are amazing with your graphics any more! Thank you!
Pam
PS. Bones- You missed me. :P

It's about time for Fallfanatic to be getting back home!! FALL, we miss your good morning and good night graphics!!! Hope you are having a great time getting your new home all 'beautified' with 'elbow grease' and paint!! WE MISS YOU!!!

Pam, it's great to have you back!! I bet that was quite a shock with the bed collapsed!!! Hurry and get everything fixed and put together and put away, so you can spend more time here on C-D!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

I am leaving tomorrow to head to NC for my high school reunion, so I may not be online after today - until next Sunday night or Monday!! I am so excited because for me, high school was almost as much fun as retirement!!!! In the past few weeks I have reconnected online with several friends and we are all looking forward to a fantastic weekend!!!! And to top it off, we are going to spend one day with my parents and I always look forward to every minute that I get to spend with them!!

Bebette, have a wonderful time at your reunion. It is such fun to see our old friends after so many years. I have always felt that we pick up right where we left off. Happy trails. DRIVE SAFELY!!

DH filed the claim for his car this morning with our insurance company. The older gentleman doesn't seem to have current insurance. I am so
glad that neither of them were injured and that it was a slow speed accident.

DH's car just looks scratched and scuffed from the outside. It's amazing how those cars can be hit and the body just pops back out. But the frame is aluminum and bends like aluminum bends!

The other driver's pick-up truck looked like it took a beating from the small guy on the block. When I arrived on the scene his bumper and one fender were lying in the road. Poor guy!

I hope everyone has a happy, peaceful day. I have a couple of appointments today and am off!

Well, I'm not on here as often as I'd like to be...actually I'm not in TN permanently yet either! But I did finally figure out what rep points are & how to give them, so I will be putting some to the Knxvlle posters. Esp. Gem, SMG, MBmouse, bones, hiknapster, et al. Your posts have been most helpful.

I spent weeks reading different posts & asked a few questions...then I came down in May. I had less than 3 days to look around, but WOW, what pretty country! I stayed in downtown Knoxville & checked out some commercial property or sale. I'm still on a major fact-finding mission for states south of NY that still have 3-4 seasons of weather w/ mild winters. TN is def. still on my list, tho I'm a bit worried about my business making it there.

I wanted to hit the Knoxville Zoo as they were having a butterfly exhibit & butterflies are one of my faves. But time got away from me & I missed the zoo. Headed out back to VA to pick up my friend & continue onto NY --- decided to take the round-about route & entered at the Smoky Natnl Forest, then up thru the Blue Ridge.

About 20 minutes into the Smoky Natnl Pk, I start seeing butterflies. Within 5 minutes there are so many, you can see them dead on the side of the road, hitting windshield, resting on tree limbs above, etc. I continue about another mile or so & spot a small waterfall on the right, so I get out of my car to take a closer look. I tiny little dry spot next to waterfall - less than 15 ft from my car - is a MASSIVE throng of butterflies. Swallowtails & small blue/black ones mostly, white ones & some monarchs (?) also. I just stood there, and literally hundreds drifted & flitted around me. I was eating an apple & several butterflies just landed right on it & went to town.

Yep, Tennessee is my kinda spot!! I WILL be back!!

Hi PAM about time you showed up! Glad that you are back up so everyone can stop worrying about y'all. I had to laugh about the bed problem, I have one of those air mattresses and the dang thing has a leak on one side. Now as to your story on it collasping, that may not be a story to share here being we are GP rated, lol.

piper, Tn is a most wonderful area and you just cant beat Mother Nature's artistic flair she granted the mountains of the east.

Holy Cow what all have I missed??? I have company for a few days and you all go crazy!! My folks finally came to see the place and love TN. We did lots of driving around and I was too pooped to get on line at night!

Mouse, to late for you to see but my best wishes for your dear Mom. I hope she recuperates quickly and with little pain!

SMG enjoy that beach! It is probably fantastic with the summer crowds all gone.

Gem... so glad that DH is OK!! While I really feel for the old guy I think he is lucky he didn't hurt someone badly. Poor DH... his pride and joy... sounds a bit mangled but maybe she can be made better than new? Guess you won't be visiting here in the next couple of weeks. Now I feel bad for you too!

Pam so glad to see you and Bill are back in town and on line with us. I know the jumpy house feeling all too well. We slept on an air mattress for many nights before we got a bed in this house and then had to sleep on it again when we emptied out the old house before closing. I hope to never have to use that thing again! Hope the bed is fixable so you don't have to resort to sleeping on the air mattress again! LOL on the PG site Painter and Bones!!! <hee hee> ya read my mind!

Bebette enjoy your reunion. Its great that you will have some connections and plans in advance so it will be even more fun.

Fallfanatic your good mornings and good nights were certainly missed.

Suzanne hoping to hear soon that you will be visiting again! Have fun when Gailli visits.

Gailli enjoy FL and the visit with family as well as the concert at Dollywood. Sounds like a full social agenda to me!!

Now Bones why is it that I haven't seen what you are up to (aside from party plots)? Did I miss something?

Piperspal there is a lot to love about this area. Having come from the Hudson Valley area I have an idea of what you mean. So far TN is indeed as pretty as/ prettier than that part of NY, the weather is milder, the people are even nicer and we have been happy as clams so far. My garden always had a variety of butterflies and bees up north but the the sheer numbers and beauty here has eclipsed that and I only have a tiny "starter" garden so far. I am so glad you enjoyed your visit to my new home and hope you come again and stay!
