Mouse, so glad your mom is recovering. I vote for the girls' pajama party; I remember my post-op meds always made me feel "festive"...for lack of a better word.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. J & Em, Pam & Bill, how cool that others from my neck of the woods are on here! With positive thoughts on moving down, no less! I agree that the people are nicer down TN way - even in the forums too. I never realized how huge C-D is. I'm going to start searching other threads again for "main street" shopping areas & strip plazas with flavour in the eastern TN area. I wish I had checked out Maryville & Fountain City when I was down in May. Just have to come back, I guess!!

Piperspal-Fountain City is a definite place to check out. When we were looking to buy, Fountain City headed up our list. Theres a few of us here on the Tn. forums that love Fountain City, Hiknapster just bought a house in FC. Painter hired me to play ghost so the house she wanted wouldn't sell in FC....(Just remember I can be bought for the price of a Red Velvet Cake from Litton's) When you did your last trip, did you think that Knoxville was like a big overgrown town instead of that city feeling? At times it reminds me of Kingston. Knoxville is home and for me Knoxville is like wearing a very comfortable pair of jeans. When you thinking of movin down?
Mouse- Glad all is well with your mom.
Mystic- Sounds like you made the right choice. Did I miss a party while I was away?
Have a great day everyone.

Painter- You'll find your way home even if it takes a few years. No bed problems last night, we are leaving the mattresses on the floor till we can fix the bed rails. Now we also need to find the nuts that the screws fit into so our table top stays in place. Looks nice- just don't touch it! Moving sure gives some great material to laugh over.....My mother arrives in 3 days... she'll freak if she touches the table and it falls apart.

Hi everyone. Pam and Bill, all is good with us, thanks for asking.
I'm getting more excited about my trip to FL, I hate the drive down but will love the drive back home as we are going the back way home and drive thru the Smokies and see the Fall colors, I always enjoy that.
I cannot wait to hold that new Grandson of mine, I may try and steal him and bring him back to TN, lol. I also cant wait to see all my kids, Grandkids and my Great Grandaughter, a fun time is ahead I'm sure.
Have a good day even if it is overcast and dreary, good day to curl up and read a good book

Pam, You might want to put up signs: Don't touch just look, If you break it you buy it, Play at your own risk.
I don't have a few yrs to move back to TN, we are on count down now. My dd started back at school here and she HAS to transfer at the end of the school yr. So we bought another yr to get the houses sold. VET school costs awhole lot of money................

Painter, If I put up a sign only look do not touch... She'd have to touch it. Like when I used to waitress I'd tell the customer, "careful, the plate is hot" They'd immediately touch it. I am still hoping you get those houses sold.

The rain has finally stopped here and the sun is trying to peek out.
My town has only had 4 houses sold since January, and one of them was a dump that needed to be bulldozed. Some one paid 41K for it to flip it, guess he doesn't have TV or newspapers. Anyway I am not one to give up easily so yup I still have faith!
