Location, location
Here's probably a stupid question; however, since dh brought back The Daily Times with the Foothills Fall Festivial spread, my curiousity has gotten the best of me.
Here's the question--Just 'where' in Murville is the festival held? Count us in on joining in the fun next year--Lord willing and the creek don't rise!

HI there
The concerts are held in the park where the amphitheater is right behind the Blount County Courthouse. This is the same park that I take my kids to and take more pictures of them than they like and it is a must for us Maryville Moms to make the limos take the kids to on Prom Day. Gorgeous, gorgeous area with creeks and rocks and wooden bridges. omgosh, it is just gawgeous!
The arts and crafts fair is mostly in the surface parking lot across from Sullivan's and down toward The Tomato Head and down the other way to Broadway Methodist Church. It goes down that entire way.
The Childrens area is down in a green area across from the old water department area. It is across the street (but under the bridge) from the Blount County Library.
Basically, it's spread out all over downtown! LOL. I'll post some pics when I have time.

Festival
Drove through Maryville yesterday and it was really booming, traffic and people everywhere and it seemed like there was food, crafts and kiddie things everywhere you looked, I should have stopped but we didnt, next year I will go for sure. I think in TN there is a festival everyday, somewhere, Apple Festival, Cornbread Festival, Festival Festivals, and such beautiful weather to have them in.

SMG--Your description of the festival location helped me walk thru virtually the many activities taking place. Thanks.
J&Em--Thanks for your offer to help with plant selection. I love to shop but confusion sets in. Now I won't have to be confused.
Gailli--We'll all be at the festival next year. Yea!
Painter--Hope you received all the good karma from your CD friends and that you phone did ring-a-ding-ding.
Bebette--Party still goin' on this morning! So happy to here yours was a blast. Mine, too. Some things just never get too old to enjoy.
Bones--That's a mighty fine looking dog house. I'll be there's pooch who loves his hideaway with a fantastic view. Does he captain the boat, too?
To everyone else--Have a great Sunday and another great week.

Suzanne - I picked up a darling, artist rendered guide to the Festival that they were giving away last night. It is much better than what was in the newspaper. If you will DM me your snail mail addy I will send it to you.

Just got home from the Exile Concert in Pigeon Forge, it was great and we had a wonderful time. Went to the new Flying Horse Grill for dinner and boy was it good, Fried shrmp for me and a great steak for DH, and the best Onion Soup.
Well, now that I made everyone hungry I will say goodnight
