Gailli, we definitely need to set a date for another Shoney's get-together after you return from FL. My DH asked me the other day if we were ever going to get together again!

Thanks, SMG. Hang onto his name and number, please!
Is he a finish carpenter or do-everything carpenter? I would really like to find a good finish carpenter once there. I value your recommendations, so hang to any and all that you are pleased with.

I haven't been here to visit for awhile. I haven't been out of town, just my mind!!
Gailli, enjoy your trip. It seems like just yesterday that you were planning to go and here it is already.
Painter, I still wishing and hoping for you. Come on, buyers!
Pam, it must feel good to be getting settled in and seeing the boxes disappear. I agree with Gailli: the unpacking of a new move is the toughest part - aside from actually having to PAY for the new home.
Hik, I gather all of the critters and the family are enjoying the new house as fall approaches. Everything and every season for the next year will be a first for you. Enjoy them all and embrace that cozy new homelife.
Suzanne, Fall, bebette, and all, have a wonderful day. I hope to be back soon to post on the Knoxville forum. I miss all the news and wonderful ideas passing around.
DH and I are off to the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival this morning. We will be going to the Janie Fricke Show and lots of bluegrass. If only DH was driving his orange honey up to Hiawassee, his world would be perfect. Alas, another week in the shop, but life goes on.

Have fun, Gem, at your Fall Festival.
SMG just am finally catching up with everything and saw your post about going to the Fall Festival. Thanks so much for thinking of me! I had thought about going up to the festival, especially since we weren't here last year at the right time, but life just never works the way you expect. My DS had a little bit of an accident and spent some time in the ER and was held over for observation but is OK and home now in FL thanks to some terrific friends who took care of everything. I got to spend a good portion of my weekend worrying and wondering if I needed to pack my bags "just in case." I plan on going, maybe next year will be the time??
Suzanne I had planned to save the Blount County newspaper insert, and may have to see if it was 'sent' to the recycling box while I wasn't looking. The map of events and locations was really helpful looking and will still help for next year. If I can retrieve it I'll be happy to share!
Painter I skimmed posts as rapidly as possible... so if I missed news- good or bad- I am sorry. I was hoping to see that you were on your way...
Pam, I'm doing fine now! LOL, the unpacking seems to always take about 10 times more time than the packing. Glad to see you are back in both virtual and real life! Your dinner for company sounded mighty delicious!
SMG almost forgot.... hold onto the carpenter's name. Don't need one right this minute and the house is relatively new, BUT it seems sooner or later we all need a carpenter, electrician and plumber.
Gailli enjoy the trip. I'll bet the days spent with the grandkids, kids and old friends will whiz by!
Bones I love that dog house..... LOL LOL
Bebette have you stopped smiling yet since you got back from your great reunion?
I just realized what was different.... Fallfanatic hasn't posted one of her cute pictures in a while. Hope she is OK and coming back soon!

Thanks everyone for the trip wishes, I was up all night last night sick as a dog, all the virus symptons that make you want to die. I have done nothing today but lay around and I really have so much to do, I need to color my hair, go thru my clothes, pack, wash the dog, on and on. Guess tomorrow will be a busy day catching up on all of it.
Talked to my daughter and my Grandaughter is sick also and also my son in law, sure hope DD and baby dont get sick too.
I will be pulling out of here first thing Thurs morning hopefully if all goes as planned and DH doesnt come down with this too.
Bebette, we can have the Shoneys again the first Sat of Nov if thats a weekend TN405 is off as I think she would like to come also, I will post a thread on it when I get back.

Hey y'all. Sorry I've been away for a few pages. My cat, Parker, is at UT vet school awaiting a risky surgery. He went to the groomer and when he came back, I thought he looked lopsided. We went to the vet who took an X-ray and she said that he had a "mass" and then it was off to UT. He has a liver tumor that will kill him if it is not removed. It is not cancerous - it is just so large that it is soon to cut off other organs.
So he's having surgery tomorrow morning and I'm jumpy until then. He's my heart. Please say a few prayers or send some good thoughts for my cat. He is a very good cat.
