Pam---I hear that the bark is pretty dang loud and can give quite the lashing if you are not careful. But it is the quiet ones you REALLY need to be careful around.
Tn405 is more than likely moving into the new home and is disconnected from us for awhile.

Gailli, I sure hope you are feeling better soon!! This cold, dreary weather sure doesn't help - it just sets the stage for depressing moods!! Hopefully, the 'sun will come out tomorrow....tomorrow...tomorrow'.....bet your bottom dollar.......

TN405, I'm sending 'rain stay away' karma so you can get moved in before the clouds open up again!!

Mystic, sounds like you've got everything planned out for a fantastic float!! My hubby and I will be in Gatlinburg that night, watching the Gatlinburg Christmas parade!! I've had my hotel reservations since July!!

Hik, sure hope Lauren woke up this morning feeling much, much better!!

TennSr, you are in my prayers and I hope you are having a good day!!

Bones, BEHAVE!!!

Gem, we miss you!!

Painter, any lookers???

Pam, have you finally finished all of your unpacking??

BeBette,
We're unpacked, it is just the putting away in an organized manner that we are working on right now.The water main was broke for 2 days here, just catching up on the laundry and the hot shower never felt so good.
Painter- I'm not scared of anyones bite, bark or quietness.

Lauren woke up feeling pretty awful. She's taking a nap, now. She hasn't done that in years. I'm keeping an eye on her, as is Joe-Joe and Harvey.

Okay, now that at least four of us are seeing better--through the clouds--the sun is out here and it's warm, humid and at times cloudy and dreary. The promisied nasty weather hasn't hit it. Hope everyone good a great report from their eye doc.

Sorry to hear you guys are having dreary weather! But, at least you have the fall colors. And, doesn't the area need rain?

Gailli--hope your tummy is feeling better. Remember you are loved by all your real and cyber friends and family.

Happy Weekend to All wherever you may be!

Actually, I had a very bad report at the eye doc. Since, in May, it was shown that I was borderline diabetic, the doc could not write a lens prescription until I go back to my physician in December. So I walk around not seeing with bad headaches.

Ah, well, we can't have everything.

However, I am desperately trying to get my weight down. I've lost ten pounds in two weeks, but I need to lose more. I've got about three weeks. I don't want to be on meds.

The good news is that the eye doc said that if I lose the weight my eyesight may improve, since it looks like it is weight related. He also said that he will give me one pair of glasses, rather than the two bifocals that I have to carry around now.

He said I'm getting trifocals.

I know. More info than anyone cares to know!

Hik, hope Lauren gets better real soon, My Grandaughter was just sick with the bad flu, thankfully it was over in 2 days. That's funny, I'm borderline diabetic also, in fact my glucose was not too good last blood test, need to lose weight but its impossible with this Thyroid condition. Well, enough info from me too

Suzanne, thanks girl for the pick me up comment, I'm hanging in there. I love TN so much but sometimes I feel like I waited too long to get here and now I'm getting too old or too disabled to enjoy it and I wish I had moved here years ago. I'm also missing the family right now too, would love to hug the Grandkids right about now.

Florida game coming on soon so at least watching Tebow for a few hours will sure fix whats ailing me for a while any way, I could sit and watch that guy play all day

I am type one diabetic and find that every time my weight goes down, my numbers do, too. Which is a good thing. Also have discovered recently that taking cinnamon supplements is dramatically helping my sugar--AND that if I were to get down to my "ideal" weight (which would mean losing about 90 lbs) that I could possibly cut out the insulin altogether or darn close. So I am working pretty hard. But I do notice also that when my sugar is up, my eyesite is worse

Hik, I was going to ask how Lauren was today but see she is not doing any better...I hope she's feeling better this evening.

Everyone else---enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
