Hik, get well wishes to the little one, hate it when kids are sick, you feel so helpless. I heard this bug is really bad, glad I got my flu shot.

I heard on the news today that they found a cure in mice for Diabetes 1 and that if the studies are as good in humans that since it involves two pills already on the market that they could have the cure ready in a year, that would be great for everyone that suffers with it, keep the prayers that it works as good in humans as it has the mice.

It was a story yesterday on Fox Cable News, I paid attention to it because of the recent discussion on here and also my girlfriends Fiancee has it as well as his 2 sons and one grandson, I just called her and told her about it too, I pray it works on People like it did on the mice.

Thanks, Gailli! I googled it and came up with this article
Human trials to begin on 'diabetes cure' after terminally ill mice are returned to health | Mail Online

I literally CRIED reading this! If this works, type 1 diabetics could start recieving the cure in as little as 4 YEARS!! AND it is a drug that has been widely used for over 80 yrs to treat TB--they said it's a generic drug and would be very low-cost for patients!

Today is turning out to be a great day! My group is doing a fundraiser that has earned us over $100 in a WEEK! I turned it into a contest and since there is no selling, a few of my mommies are really getting into it-playful banter about who's going to raise the most-

Plus I have 10 kids pretty well confirmed for the float...

And the sun is shining. It's beautiful out there!

Time for my afternoon "the-boys-are-napping-so I'll-nap, nap" --I am working a 12 tonight so i need the catnap!

Hope everyone's having a wonderful day!

Lauren woke up with a temp of 103.1. Got her to the doctor. It's strep. She is doing better. Fred stayed home with her and I will tomorrow.
