Congrats on your daughter's job! I'm sure your son is fine, but sending good vibes!

Thank you to everyone for your prayers....they definitely worked....she starts Monday!!!

I am still waiting to hear from my son......hubby says that it's not time to start worrying yet, because he is flying on a military plane - not a commercial plane, which means that they could be stopping at multiple bases around the world before actually landing in Norfolk!!

So, I am trying to be patient. My daughter-in-law and I have been calling back and forth all day.....thankfully, she decided not to tell their son he was coming until we are certain he is here and is only minutes from their doorstep! SMART MOM.....I can imagine my grandson sitting on the front porch all day and night waiting for Daddy.......because he has been known to sit on the porch many days waiting for the mailman to bring him a letter from Daddy!!

I'll let y'all know as soon as I know!!!! Please continue to keep him in your prayers.....

What a wonderful reunion that will be for the whole family, beachbette, but especially your grandson.

I imagine a little boy not knowing when he will see Daddy again goes through a lot of emotional lows that we, as adults, may not even recognize. It will be wonderful to have everyone together again!!

He will be one ecstatic little boy!!!

Smile Congrats and Prayers!

I've been away for a few days, so my response is a little late but am sending you and your daughter well wishes on the job acquisition!

Hopefully, you have heard from your son by the time you read this "Thank You for Serving". Those of us 'back at home' owe much to those serving anywhere in the world and to those families who make sacrifices while sons, daughters, moms and dads are away. My thoughts and prayers to your entire family.

Question Has anyone heard from "luvmyanimals"?

I haven't seen any posts from luvmyanimals for about two weeks or so. Has anyone heard from her or know how her sister is doing?

She is such a dear lady and I hate to think of her struggling through this with her sister and mom without some support.

Ahhhh, drat! Foiled again. You try and try, but someone always catches on!

Yep, it's me with a new name. It will simplify my life. You may see the capital "G" revert to a lower case "g" as requested, but that's my name and I'm sticking to it!!

I will keep all the gems that cross my path, and say "so long" to the clutter. It makes it easier to move around that way.

Lots of gems well-worth keeping around here!

I did, I did!!!! What do you think? I wanted everyone to realize that it was still ME without an aka under my name. And, to think you almost missed me, hiknapster!! An impostor?

I have wanted to the change for sometime, but finally took the leap! It is never a good idea, I have discovered, to use part of your email address in your C-D moniker!

*(If someone out there has not registered yet and reads this, think carefully about your name. You may think you will visit this site only once or twice, but if you are like most of us - we will be seeing a lot of you! City-Data makes this suggestion when registering and it is for good reason. Some of us do not listen very well!!!)

Only about 3 weeks to go for you, beachbette. You will soon be a Tennessean with a tan and straw hat! Have you bought an orange T-shirt yet? It is a prerequisite to pass from FL to TN!
