Knoxville hotels help please
can someone recommend a nice hotel in Knoxville? Not knowing the area I don't want to end up in an unsafe area(if there are any) and I don't want the best in town, but more like a 3 star. Thanks!!!

Which side of town are you talking about? Would you be on I-40 - east or west side of town? Or would you be on the south side toward Gatlinburg?
We need to know this info to give you a recommendation, as there are hundreds of good hotels.

If you are coming up from AL, then you will come up I-75, right? That will put you on the West side. Pretty much out there will be good places, though some may be pricey. But I would not really recommend Lovell Road on the side that would be to your left coming in on I-40 that way. It's a trucker spot, but more importantly it's near the strip joint. On the right hand side coming in on 40 will be Turkey Creek. Those hotels are good and in a good spot, but they may be pricey. I'd say stay away from most areas in the East like around the zoo- Magnolia, Cherry street. those would be the 'bad areas'. I can't really recommend a specific place to stay because I've never had to stay in a hotel in K-town.

Well, your name on here is northern exposure
Looked up the address you gave in the follow up. It's off Strawberry Plains PK and that area is a good area. It's headed out of Knoxville and not too far from the exits for Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. Are you passing through or stopping to check out Knoxville to move to?

North Peters Rd. has several good hotels. That will put you on the west side, with easy access to the highway or downtown. It's a good area to stay in. We used the Best Western, but there are several others.
