Craigslist is probably your best bet. Besides Oak Ridge you can look at West Knoxville (anyplace close to Pellisippee Parkway (rt 162))/Hardin Valley which would be an easy commute (especially compared to Philly).

The best bet for you is westgate apt.
Oak Ridge Knoxville Hotel Motel Condominium Accommodations
They are close to the lab, very clean, in a nice neighborhood, close to grocery etc, fully furnished and rents out on daily/monthly etc. You might find weird reviews but I can vouch from my experience that they would be the best choice for temporary lodging here. Also, make sure to call early enough to book, summer is a busy time here. Best of Luck!
