yes, but it was actually a couple of dollars cheaper ordering from the store! i think the difference was in shipping costs.

The people make that particular photo. Without them it's nothing.

If people want to see all of the 2008 Tennessee calendars, go to Amazon and type in Tennessee calendar as your search term.

I haven't been here for 12 months to have appropriate seasonal photos to fill a calendar year and I spent most of my less-than-90 degree days exploring the immediate area where I live and even then, I didn't really "get out" and start seeing things until mid-October.

LauraC, I would like to encourage you to come and check out downtown Knoxville this holiday season. There are so many things to see and do such as Market Square with the ice rink and the many shops and restaurants. On Gay Street there is the Mast General Store, Art Galleys, The East Tennessee History Museum, the Knoxville Visitor’s Center(they have gifts from local artist), and of course more places to eat. For entertainment, the Tennessee Theatre will be showing the 1947 version of “Miracle On 34th Street” on December 21 and 22. What a great way to see this holiday classic and hear Christmas songs on the Mighty Wurlitzer all in this beautifully restored 1928 movie palace. Or if you prefer, the latest movie fare is at the new Regal Riviera.

Contrary to popular belief, parking is not a problem in downtown. There is FREE parking in the State Street, Locust Street, and Market Square garages after 5pm and all day on weekends.

So bring your camera and come on downtown, you are assured to get enough pictures for several calendars.

I'm not anti-Knoxville. I just don't like driving around or walking in big cities where there are a lot of people. Shops, restaurants, and art galleries don't interest me.

If I ever come into Knoxville, it will be to go to Ijams in the early Spring. Nothing wrong with big cities. They're just not my thing...and I used to live and work in DC and lived some of my childhood in NYC. You know, my dad used to take me to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day grandaddy of parades when I was a kid but I prefer that small town Christmas parade we had in Oak Ridge this year.

P.S. Miracle on 34th St (the original) was on cable TV within the last 2 weeks.
