Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Currently living in Nevada but just starting a 3 yr. plan on a possible move to the Knoxville area. Would like to have a little more space and see some green for a change. I started lurking on the site a while ago and am trying to gain as much info as possible through the search engine but know at some point I'll be asking some more specific questions. I currently work in the gaming industry, am married and have an 11 yr. old son. Hopefully sometime in the fall we'll make it out there for a scouting trip. Hope you all have a great day.

I've been to Knoxville several times. It seems to be a very nice small city. If you are looking for "green," you will see a lot of it in Tennessee, especially central and east Tennessee. The entire state has much to offer, especially if you love the outdoors. I suggest you consider whether Knoxville can offer you the kind of employment you are looking for. If not, you might consider other parts of Tennessee. You'll find a lot of information about Knoxville and other places in Tennessee at the link below.

Hi Blue Marlin, what type of work are you and spouse qualified for? There are zero casinos around here, so that is out. Nearest casino is in Cherokee, beyond the Smoky Mountain National Park. If you have specific questions we will do our best to answer. Please do some searches on this forum for answers to the basic things that have been asked and answered a million times. I moved here a year ago from Nor Cal and am loving it in east Tennessee.
