Smile McMansions vs Mobile homes

Did I open a can of worms with the "mobile home" comment or what.

Sure did not mean to. I have seen some beautiful mobile homes that Iwould love to have but when we were land hunting I also saw some mobile homes where it looked like people opened up their front door and threw their trash out. You don't have to have a lot of money to take your trash to the "free" convenience centers or burn it. The land I mentioned that had zoning from mobile homes does not have McMansions, just average size homes and some old farm homes too. Having the zoning laws does hurt people who can not afford to build a home right away too. My son (young 20's) was disappointed because he can not afford to build a home and would like to put a mobile home near our land. But is unable to do that because of the zoning law.

Sorry that it appeared I was labeling people who live in mobile homes. I was not. I lived in an old mobile home when I was first married and happy to have it.

God Bless

BBKaren, our daughter lived on base in Dover NJ while her husband was in the army, and worked at a bank. When he retired, the native NJ people were shocked that they were moving. She couldn't wait to be gone. I guess it is all in what you are used to. They moved back to Huntsville, AL, and really like it there. I love TN. Our son will finish his Master's degree in FL at USF, and will move back here. His fiance said, "I guess we had to move away to really appreciate what we had in TN." EQ
