What about union county?
I've looked a little bit into it and it looks like a nice place to live and maynardville is only about 25 miles from knoxville. Plus my sis who just moved to knox said she has talked to a few people that said it's very cheap to live there and not too long of a commute to knoxville. Anybody have any thoughts or knowledge on it?

Wow, that's a beautiful picture, do you have more? And $85,000 for 2.5 acres and a 3 bdr. house? That is awesome. I heard to rent a house is very cheap as well.It sounds ideal for us. Yes, I have 3 kids, one in h.s. , 1 in middle and one in Kind. How are the schools? What's the pop.? Any info. you can give me would be much appreciated! Thanks!

you'll find a lot of info on this site (city-data) as well as these forums if you search for the town name.
I also posted some pics from my trip back in May of the Union County area. They're not "sight-seeing" pictures, but rather, consistent clicks of the camera as we drove around the area.
Here:

There's also statistical and demographic data available if you google the words "best places" and search on the site that comes up.
Good luck--

Well, it looks like a beautiful area and that pic of the deer is really neat and that's in your yard? Awesome! Nice people too? Sounds like my kind of place. We're taking a trip in late Feb.-early March to the knox area and will be checking it out as well as other areas, I'm looking forward to seeing all of it! Thanks for the link!
