Hello!
I just had my property surveyed recently about 50 acres and TVA has power line right of way through the property.
My question is: Can I legally keep Quads off the power line access trails that run through my property?
The locals seem to think the power line property is free reign.
Is there some one from TVA that can tell me or written proof I can give to locals on this?
Thanks so much,
Mike

That's an unfortunate attitude among too many who either don't understand or don't care about property rights. I am 100% sure that you are entitled to keep those folks off your property; you own the land and that is your right. You do, of course, have some limitatations as to what you can do with the land within the TVA easements, but banning trespassers is not one of those limitations and I would post multiple "No Trespassing" signs if I were you.

23. Will TVA assist landowners in problems with erosion or trespassing by hunters and four-wheelers?

TVA and its contractors are responsible only for repairing or paying for the repair of physical damage to land caused by TVA’s exercise of its easement rights. TVA is not responsible for erosion from other causes. TVA’s easement rights do not authorize it to take action against trespassers unless the trespassers’ actions interfere with those easement rights. Other trespassing issues are between the landowner and the trespasser.

Thank you for your reply.
I am trying to keep the peace and protect my land.
I also just found out one of my neighbors owns a Drone that I saw just recently walking the property.
I could not tell if it was on my land or not, just some thing else to contend with.
Thanks again,
Mike
