Hi,
We are new to Knoxville (and love it!) and are looking for a good pediatrician. We have had several recommendations from friends, but unfortunately, the pediatricians they've recommended aren't taking new patients. Does anyone have a good pediatrician that they could recommend for us? Thanks so much!

This is a great question. Especially since I need one too.
Sorry I can't refer anyone, but I do hope to read some recommendations.

We just started using Dr Amir in Lenoir City (right off of the Lenoir City Exit) and he has been doing a fine job for our 3

I desperately need a good pediatrician, too. I'm in the Powell area, but will go anywhere!

I CAN recommend a great pediatric dentist. He's Dr. Darryl Phillips. He's also a dental surgeon.

My children are grown now, but I lived north of Powell and drove to Boys and Girls Pediatrics at the I-40 exit on Asheville Hwy. I was with them for 28 years and they were the best Knoxville had to offer and still are. Check them out - Dr. Byrd retired and so may have Dr. Godfrey, but they trained their staff well and used common sense and not a lot of antibiotics - even in the 70's and 80's!!! Good luck.

I work right down the street from them. I wonder who the doctors are now and if they are just as good?

Hi! I just moved here too. I haven't found a pediatrician yet........... However, I have found Moderator cut: cut link to be a great resource. They also have a thread you can post on and ask questions. Hope this helps!

We use Boys and Girls for our daughter who is twelve and son who is two. We see both Dr. Kimble and Dr. Wisniewski and they are great They have two buildings on Asheville Highway that are across the street from each other. The one on the south side is a traditional style building with a waiting room. The one on the north side you can drive up to the exam rooms, find a room that is unoccupied, and enter directly into the exam room from the outside. This concept allows you to avoid exposing your child to other sick children in a waiting room environment.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have no idea how helpful this is!

Wisniewski? Fine Polish fellow! I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow.
