Alrighty, it was fun for a few days, now it's not fun, lol! Okay! There's my short rant. Not that its going to change the weather here in the Knoxville area. Anyone happy they've got an all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle?

My 4x4 has been indispensable. Because I have it I have been able to go where I need to go. I have had it with the weather, this stuff belongs up north, and there is my rant as well.

Normally January is the worst month for inclement weather, but February has been a nasty surprize, especially so since the month started out with 11 days of mild temps, then weather disaster struck. For comparison, even with the mild start to February, the month will end with 17 straight days with below normal temps for the highs, plus it looks like the first couple of days of March will also below normal. Tha would be a long, miserable stretch of weather, so long that February is going to a colder month, on average, than January, by about 4 degrees, when the opposite is usually the case. Truly a horrid weather month, imho.

OK, I'm here to say I love it! I have been missing the snowfalls of my TN youth. It is so beautiful!

But disclaimer - I live close to treated streets and my work is such I don't have to go out until the afternoon if at all.

We have an all wheel and 4 wheel vehicle and we are stuck on a hill..the road is waaaaay too steep to even attempt...not treated at all...the day we did chance it we could not get back up..in our 4 Wheel....Our all wheel is horrible in this weather...if it is packed down ice.. melted and refrozen, you are pretty much stuck till it melts...NO ONE is getting up here...

I got out the door this morning around 8:30 to get some grocery shopping done. Hit Sams, Aldi's, TJ's and picked up some coffee at BB&B.

The number of idiots on the roads and crowds in the store was almost zilch.

Snow is a beautiful thing...I hope it lasts.
