Fruit Trees
Does anyone know which fruit trees will grow well in Oak Ridge?
Thanks!

Most of East Tn is a Zone 7, except for the higher elevations which would be considered a zone 6-Most all your usual fruits (Apples, Peach, Plum, Etc...)
Would do fine here as long as they receive the required maintenance for high yield ( Proper Pruning, Good Soil fertility, and sublemental irrigation during times of drought).

I used to have fruit trees on other property I owed. I will never go there again. We couldn't keep up with all of the fruit and we had it rotting on the ground, possums and groundhogs and the like everywhere, etc. Having said all that, fruit trees do real well in this area with proper conditions.
I would like to congratulate Hiknapster for not commenting on this thread!

What? Is someone looking for a comment?
Actually, I don't know a darn thing about fruit trees! Am I suppose to?
