Ornl
Before we move, my husband would like to land a job with ORNL. Does anyone on this forum work there? Does anyone know someone that works there? Any leads or helpful information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Credentials would probably be the first consideration by ORNL.

It really depends on the type of position you are looking for. There are many subcontract companies working at ORNL that specialize in different areas. ie Wackenhut covers a lot of the security, Bechtel Jacobs does construction, demolition, and engineering, etc etc

He is an Electrical Engineer and has about 16 years experience with Lockheed Martin, a wireless Internet start-up, and now a manufacturer of RFID tags (design and testing). He has worked with hardware, firmware, some software, and design and testing...

As a recent interviewee and likely future ORNL employee, I can say that it helps a lot if you already know people who work there. Here is one possible position for your husband (though I have no idea about specific qualifications he might have):

My husband works at the Lab. If you go to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory web site there is a listing of available jobs there. My husband is a mechanical engineer and really enjoys it there. Good luck.

Join the club - I have customers that worked for Wackenhut doing security at the Oak Ridge complexes. It is my understanding that they are a subcontractor for one of the primary contractors - so they do not have an actual physical location in Oak Ridge.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong. You may have to find out who they are subcontracted thru and see if the job postings are on their website.
Wackenhut - what a name
