I've been at St. Mary's. They were the one's that correctly diagnosed me. They are very caring and professional. You both will be in great hands. Good luck to both of you.

I pray things will be over soon, I am joining a cancer support group on monday night in Blount County to help patients and their family. I will be her main caretaker, and also take care of my mom. I have no idea why I didn't see this thread before. Luvmyanimals, you have my sincerest prayers, you and your entire family.

I've been to the UT hospital a few times, both as a patient and as a visitor, and the people there always treated us with dignity, respect, and love.

I think we in Knoxville are blessed to have some wonderful hospitals. As hiknapster said, Saint Mary's is also good. My surgery was at Fort Sanders, an amazing experience. I think you and your family are in good hands there at U.T.

God bless you and your family, luvmyanimals. Please keep us posted.

Hey everyone.....I think you all are the best group of people! We went to the doctor today and found out more of the results...she has a fast moving cancer and he wants to do a pet-scan to see if it's moved to other parts. Her insurance may not pay for it so we will have to wait and see by this evening we will know. He also wants to do chemo and radiation both. So it looks like no surgery on wednesday yet but just not sure. We maybe back at UT, we just don't know yet. He really wanted to do radidation before surgery but he may have to go ahead and do it anyway he said. Please continue to pray, thank you so much. Right now we are very scared and just holding each other any crying alot. God Bless you all.

Luv, I just saw this thread. Don't know how I've missed it before now. I can't say much about any of the hospitals around here since I've only lived in TN for two years but I DO know about cancer...had a husband and a sister-in-law diagnosed within the same year. I will certainly pray for your sister - and for you, because you have the hardest job of all. Keep us posted.

Wish there was a hug that would grip fear and send it packing. Just know that many of us reading your plight feel your fear, pain and sorrow. We are praying for you, your sister and family.

Default My prayers are with you, luvmyanimals.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, luvmyanimals. I know just how scary this can be. And, the uncertainty of it all just compounds our fear.

Lots of hugs for you, your mother, and your sister. I hope she has a good outcome.

I have heard only good things about St. Mary's, UT Medical Center, and Baptist Hospital. You will all be in good hands.

Please keep us informed.

I want to thank everyone for the kind words.....The newest update...My sister insurance denied her the pet-scan so the doctor is going ahead with the surgery tomorrow. He won't know how bad the cancer is until tomorrow. The surgery will be at St Mary's Hospital, so I just ask if you could say a prayer for her. I appreciate all the prayers from you guys. I will keep you posted and let you know how it goes. God Bless

Default Our hearts and prayers are still with you, luv.

I am so sorry to hear about the PT scan, luv. It would certainly help the doctors with their assessment, but your sister is still going to receive top-notch care at St. Mary's.

I have not stopped praying for her and your family. I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and praying for the best possible outcome.

Try to sleep well tonight. Let God take care of your burdens while you rest. We'll all be waiting to hear from you, luv.
