Default Nashville or Knoxville

Hi everyone.
Just wanted to see some opinions on what would be a better place to live...
We are used to living in big cities/but always in the suburbs of them.
So we like having nice restaurants, arts, theatres, but we also enjoying hiking and camping. Grew up in the suburbs of Seattle, went to college in San Fran...now looking for a nice suburb to work (both of us are physicians) & raise kids---no kids yet...
So part of me thinks we would like Nashville due to it being a larger city, so the advantages of that is very appealing...but then I didn't know if there are pretty mountains or things to do outdoors near Nashville ...or is that all closer to Knoxvile...
Would like some advice please! Thanks a lot!

Talking Ideas...

Hi there!

I can suggest Franklin or Brentwood, TN. Nice, suburban communities and Williamson County, TN has really good schools. You did not indicate your price range for a house, but Franklin and Brentwood do tend to be pricey. I estimate homes range from 250K - well over a million ? (I am not positive on these figures, just kind of guessing). However, Franklin is what I would call semi-rural or rural suburban, and very lovely scenery. If you are from Seattle, Franklin is similar to Woodinville, WA and Brentwood is similar to Bellevue, WA. I lived in Seattle 7 years so I am familiar with it.

I do not know about Knoxville but I am sure you will get other replies.

Cheers,
