The County Commissioners are now immortalized by the paper of record, including my illustrious commissioner, the infamous Lumpy.

And here was Commissioner Greg Lambert, better known as Lumpy. A used-car salesman who won national attention years ago for a “Buy a Car Get a Gun” promotion, he leveled his blunderbuss at another commissioner, a university professor named Mark Harmon, who had done nothing more to antagonize than open the meeting with a reflection that referred to “the inherent dignity of every person.”

Ok , I knew Knox Counties commissioners and such were a mess but OMGosh! That is just craziness. I am glad to see the people doing something to change it all.

A few observations:

1. Fortunately today is election day; hopefully the people of Knox County will start to take their government back. My wife and I voted last week (early voting is great!). A record voter turnout is predicted.

2. What can you say about "Lumpy"? Well.....lots....but that's a whole column. Unfortunately he is not up for reelection. Fortunately he is term limited now and if you live in Powell you can vote for or against him.

3. That reporter makes "used-car salesman" sound like a bad thing.

4. There is no truth to the rumor that Regas is running a 2 for 1, election day special on Lobster dinners.

What? Maybe you need the government perk card to get the special? Do you remember how much the charge was for those, jimlee? It was big money, wasn't it?

I'll be out voting today, too. I'm wearing my Obama button. That should go over big!
