I'm the one who took that pic. It was taken from a little parking lot on Sharp's Ridge.

I never realized what an accomplished photographer you are, JMT! Very nice photos.

It not only takes a good camera, light, angles, etc., but there is a talent involved in finding just the right subject to snap. I envy that talent.

Ok, enough of the pic's already.... Makes me and my wife sick when we see what we're missing!!!!
Seriously though, love to look at these and see where we're coming to if this darn house ever sells. My son wondered if there were any pics of Bristol since he's a NASCAR nut...

This is the only one I have, and tell your son I am sorry, not a very good one.

My hubby and I will be right there on the bleaches with you, jimj! Be sure to bring you son along.

Just one of the many pleasures and outings waiting for you to show up. It'll be here before you know it. Maybe we will both have our houses sold by the end of the year!!

(It's a good photo, MB. Thanks!)

Thank you MB, it looks just fine... My son said "ohhhhhh, I can't wait to see "thunder valley"!!! We've been to Charlotte speedway since we lived there and we've been to Sears Point (now infineon raceway) in CA when we lived there and while we used to watch the races on TV we got hooked on seeing them live.

All we get to watch live now is deer, elk, bear and barstool races. Yes, people here get so sun deprived that they mount skis to barstools, couches, chairs and all manner of other things and race them down hill just to do something different.
Yes gem, hopefully this is both our years!!!

My gosh I didn't see this earlier. I'm so embarrassed! But thanks (and to hiknapster, too). But rest assured that I am NOT a good photographer, I just point and click and hope for the best.

But it's hard NOT to get good pics of Knoxville from atop Sharp's Ridge. If only I had the guts to actually climb one of those giant TV towers up there...
