Why is everyone convinced that's a photoshop? There are several days I can see the smokies off in the distance on my way home coming down Tazewell Pike. The only unbelievable thing in that pic, to me, is the snow.

Too big, too close, etc? It certainly looks like the view I have from out here...so I was just curious as to how everyone was so sure.
Still a cool picture!

After my drive home last evening and seeing the snow covered Smokies off in the distance, I'm more convinced than ever that the picture posted was not a fake...it looked exactly like that pic.

I agree! Coming down Pellissippi toward Maryville, when you top the hill at the Westland exit you could make out all the mountains, and again, as I turned onto William Blount Drive from Hwy 321 in Maryville, the view was awesome.
I couldn't help thinking about the picture here of Knoxville, and how the Smokys looked like the Rockies yesterday.

I was going to go up to Sharp's Ridge and take a pic, but did not have time...and it wasn't TOTALLY clear, but easily clear enough to seen the snow covered mountains.

My husband went on and on about the view of the mountains last night and how the sun was shining on the snow capped mountains. He said that he wished he had the camera with him. It must have been spectacular, I am sorry I missed it.

mbmouse,
Thanks for the beautiful pictures. Great job. But of course, you always have nice pictures. Love it. But it makes me want to move up there NOW. Can hardly wait.
