New to Knoxville -- Church and Houses (Farragut: home builders, college)

Hello and happy Friday!

We're newly engaged and new to Knoxville, TN. We're looking for a church in West Knoxville, (Bearden, Farragut and surrounding areas). Does anyone know of any diverse congregations in those areas? We're looking for young families and couples, different ethic backgrounds etc.

We're also looking for quality home builders and communities. We'd like to stay in West Knoxville within a 20 min drive of downtown.

Also -- which builders have a poor reputation?

I don't have answers to your questions but I have questions for you. We are looking to move to the West Knoxville area in July. Where did you move from and how are you liking the Knoxville area?

We like the area. We moved from the southeast, so not too much of a difference but different enough. I hope you will enjoy your time in Knoxville come July.

It isn't in West Knoxville, but I just became a member at the Church Street United Methodist church near Henley Street bridge. I attended it all through college and now that I officially work and live here, I chose to become a member just last weekend. It's a beautiful church with a very kind and inviting pastoral staff. They make everyone feel welcome, no matter your age, ethnicity, orientation, etc. It's a very open-arms environment.

You also may want to try Concord United Methodist church. We have a great contemporary service, also traditional. Two of each on Sunday 8:45 and 11:00.
