I would like to know the ins and outs of cleaning contractors (self employed, not on payroll) who clean the rental cabins / condos in and around the Smokey's. I understand that they may need to be licensed and insured. Is this a must ? About how many cabins would any one or two person crew be able to clean on any given day? I believe there is usually only a 3-4 hr. window there to get a cabin ready for the next renter. Do the cleaning crew take all linens somewhere to be washed and always have clean linens with them or do they wash them while there on the job in the cabin? Where would one advertise for jobs? Craigslist? Local newspaper? I'd greatly appreciate any other info you may have for this line of work that I haven't thought to ask.

I thought about cabin cleaning in the past and wondered these same things myself (don't worry, I'm not considering doing this anymore!)
My feeling is if you are licensed and insured (probably bonded too) the better you look to cabin owners and the better your chance of getting hired.

If you don't get answers to your questions on here, I suggest researching some companies that do this. They would probably answer your questions. Here are some I found -
Mountaineer Cleaning | VRBO Smoky Mountain Cabin Cleaning Services
Pristine Cabin Cleaning, LLC. - Home - ,
https://cabincleaningservicesgatlinburg.com/
Snip's Cabin Cleaning - Home

I have no clue how you find individual cabin owners and advertise to them. But you could start by calling the companies who rent cabins and ask if they use cleaning contractors. If they do, see if they are happy with the service and ask if they'd give you a try. If it was me I'd visit them in person and explain that I'm starting out and ask if they'd give me one cabin to do (at a discounted rate) and ask if they'd review me.
Here's one - Mountain Sunset Cabins
