i read all the other posts and im looking for my own opinions
hi everyone. im a 27 year old male. im currently in tampa florida for the past 6 months and im orig. from new england. i moved here to tampa looking for a laid back and nice place to live, southern hospitallity i should say. lets just say florida isn't what i expected on that note. i have many likes and dislikes about it here. i will not bad mouth anything, im very opened minded and the grass is always greener on the other side ya know, i could honestly live here forever and be somewhat happy, but im looking to be totally happy.
to get to my questions:
is knoxville a good place for someone 27 and single?
also i am an auto body painter for 9 years now, does anyone know how that job market is?
i would be renting, but i own a dirt bike and i wont be owning land, are there places to ride? tracks, open land the cops wont mind ect?
what areas would i fit in better being a single guy?
i havent come to knoxville to check it out yet, but everything ive read seems very promising. and everyone seems so nice. sounds to good to be true.
any help would be greatly appreciated

As daw said, you'd probably find more work in West Knox than anywhere else. But if you're into the trendy/nightlife scene, you might want to consider living closer to downtown/around UT.

Only one person can give you the right advice - YOU!
Mikewu, it would be very difficult for anyone here to tell you whether you would find life in Knoxville more to your liking.
There are so many variables for each of us that determines whether a city or town is right for us. What are your interests. Do you have a family that you will need good schools for? Do you plan on joining a church? What are your shopping needs? Do you like outdoor activities or other forms of entertainment or sports?
Your best option right now would be to visit Knoxville, or any other area that piques your interest. There really is no other way to see if an area is what you most desire.
Visit for several days, visit local restaurants, talk to people in the stores, at gas stations, standing in a movie theater line, etc. See what kind of vibes you get when you are here.
You may say that Knoxville suits you to a "T" or you could say, "What was I thinking? I coulda had a V-8!!" Don't go by what someone else likes or thinks. You're the one who has to live with your decision.

I think most of us would think along the same lines to help the OP, Pam. So, your advice would be right on, I would say!
You repped me recently, so you have to hand out 15 or so before you can get back to rep again!! It's a good fair system. Gives everyone a chance, right?

Go to knoxnews.com : Knoxville, Tennessee, News, Business, Homes, Jobs, Cars & Information. You can check the classifieds for jobs for autobody and whatnot. Also property, etc. There are places at least within a decent driving distance for biking, if not here, but I know of none personally. Does that help
