Any information about Furnished Apts in the Knoxville area for a period of about 6months would be very helpful

I guess it depends on what you are willing to pay. I don't know of any furnished apartments, but there are plenty of nice extended stay hotels in the West Knoxville area.

I have a friend that used this company..

I know they were VERY expensive but her husband's co footed the bill. Other than that, I don't know anything about them. Good luck!

My DH's job arranged for Corporate Quarters for us, too. I agree, it is not cheap, but it is convenient. They contract out to various apartments in the area. I think where we are staying at the moment, Forest Ridge in Hardin Valley/Karns area of west knox, does short term leases, too. Their website is Apartments in Knoxville, TN - Forest Ridge

We used Corporate Quarters when we first moved to the area, and it was out of our own pockets. Yes they are very expensive. The only other thing I can think of is Extended Stay America. They probably have a web site. They are in West Knox conveniently backed up to I-40.

We are moving to Knoxville in two weeks and are using Corporate Quarters while we 'house hunt'!! It may seem pricey, but it includes absolutely everything....each apartment has a full size washer and dryer, all dishes, linens, etc. and it even includes high speed internet and local phone, plus you have the use of the apartment complex amenities!!

I checked into the cost of 30 days or more at an extended stay hotel and they wanted $89/night.... That is about $25 MORE per night than Corporate Quarters!! So, all in all, Corporate Quarters is really a great deal! And so far they have been great to work with......I'll report back after we move, to let you know if they continue to be great to work with!!

Is that based on a weekly or monthly rate? We we moved here some years ago, Extended Stay America's long term rates were cheaper than Corporate Quarters, but they did not allow pets, which ruled them out for us.

When we first moved to East Knoxville a year and a half ago, we rented an apartment at Washington Ridge apartments, they did a corporate deal for us, all urilities, rental furniture and high speed internet for a fixed rate per month. Nice complex with amenities also.

That was the monthly rate based on 90 days....I just broke it down to the per night rate!
